Aspen Montessori is an independent primary school for grades F–5 with approximately 120 students. The school and after-school center are housed in a charming old school building with high ceilings and a warm, cozy atmosphere. The school is beautifully located in a nature-friendly environment that invites movement, play, and exploration – with meadows, streams, and forests right outside the door. This provides excellent conditions for a varied and inspiring after-school program, both indoors and outdoors.

About the Position

We are looking for a primary school teacher qualified for grades 4–6. At Aspen Montessori, we work with co-teaching, which means that two teachers work together in the classroom. Together with your colleague, you work to create a stimulating, safe, and meaningful environment for our students. You have a clear pedagogical responsibility together with your closest colleague.

The position is a permanent employment at 80%. Start date autumn 2026 or according to agreement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22)
• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
• Support students' social development, interaction, and independence
• Actively contribute to the school's values work and collegial development work

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher for grades 4–6
• Experience working in the school system
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Good collaboration skills and a professional, respectful approach
• Interest in school development and willingness to contribute to the school's systematic quality work

Merits

• Qualification to teach physical education or English
• Knowledge of or interest in Montessori pedagogy
