Nya Elementar is a municipal school (grades F-9) located in Bromma. The school's location is highly attractive due to its proximity to both nature and the city center. Your role

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility in Swedish and Social Studies (SO) for grades 4–6. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach. The position also includes mentorship, where an important part is maintaining close and good contact with students and their guardians.

You are part of a work team and a subject group where collaboration with colleagues is central. You are a key part of the collegial learning process to create new and in-depth knowledge. To succeed in this role, you need to be flexible, able to quickly adapt to students' different needs, and be accustomed to taking the initiative in communication with guardians.

This is a temporary position during the autumn term.

Your competencies and experience

We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' goal achievement, good pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged in bringing out the best in students. You who apply should:

  • Be a certified teacher with eligibility in Swedish and Social Studies.
  • Have at least 3 years of documented experience in the teaching profession.
  • Have experience with digital working methods as an enhancement in teaching.
  • Be accustomed to meeting students with different needs, be flexible, and be able to adapt teaching to offer a rich and varied learning environment.
  • Be accustomed to handling different teaching situations and finding solutions to challenges, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other duties included in your role in an effective manner.
