About us

Runby School is a large school (grades F-9) located in western Väsby, with the forest as its nearest neighbor. The school is growing and currently has approximately 1,100 students, including students in adapted primary education and a municipal autism unit. Runby School is also a partner school to Uppsala University, which means the school hosts several student teachers during an academic year. Supporting these students is everyone's responsibility, even if you are not a VFU supervisor. The school has a sports and outdoor life profile that we value highly.

About the position

We are looking for an engaged and relationship-building teacher for a fixed-term position at 75% during the academic year 2026/2027.

The position includes mentorship for a class in grade 6, as well as teaching Swedish to students in grades 6, 8, and 9. As a mentor, you are responsible for monitoring students' knowledge development, attendance, and well-being, as well as maintaining regular contact with guardians and student health services when necessary.

Teaching is planned, implemented, and evaluated in accordance with the curriculum and the school's governing documents. You will work both independently and together with colleagues in work teams and subject groups to create a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment for the students.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish and preferably experience from lower secondary school.
• Good digital competence and experience integrating digital tools into teaching.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with Google Workspace or other school administrative systems.
• Experience with mentorship and working with students' social and knowledge development.
• Experience working with students in need of special support and adaptations within regular teaching.
• Knowledge of and experience with language-developing working methods.
• Experience analyzing student results and using them as a basis for teaching development.

As a person, you are stable and, among other things, relationship-building. We are looking for someone with high and positive expectations of the students. You should be solution-focused and willing to work to create the best pedagogical conditions for the students. You enjoy collaborating and believe in collegial learning.
