About the workplace

Ulriksdalsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades 1–9) with approximately 700 students, of whom about 200 are in middle school (grades 4–6). The school opened in 2014 and has a heterogeneous student composition from the local area. The school is located in the Ulriksdal district, easily accessible by commuter train and bus. Beautiful natural areas are located near the school.

We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish and Spanish.

What does the job entail?

We are looking for a secondary school teacher qualified to teach Swedish and Spanish. The role involves full mentorship for a grade level, planning responsibility for teaching, and collaboration with the school's other staff. The position includes all aspects of the subjects Swedish and Spanish, from developing ideas and planning the work to creating and evaluating it. You conduct lessons, pedagogical documentation, and strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where all students feel seen.

Together with other teachers, you are responsible for the pedagogical activities. You will be part of a work team that designs and develops the operations and lays a good foundation for the students' development. School development in Solna includes language-developing approaches, digitalization, core values, and adaptation of the learning environment. An important part of the job is to develop the social climate so that all students feel good and thrive in the group.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified teacher
• are qualified to teach grades 6–9 in Swedish/Spanish
• have experience in pedagogical work
• have experience meeting students in need of extra adjustments in the classroom
• have experience with pedagogical documentation
• are well familiar with the curriculum
• have experience with various forms of collaboration, such as parent meetings and daily contact with parents
• have knowledge of ICT
• can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Experience working as a teacher in Swedish and Spanish is meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, proactive, and interested in school development. You also actively work on developing the pedagogical work in the classroom. As a teacher with us, you are relationship-building and have a desire to follow students' learning and support them in developing further to the next step. Furthermore, you take responsibility for your tasks, adapt easily to changed circumstances, and are calm, stable, and structured.
