About the workplace

Ulriksdalsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades 1–9) with approximately 700 students, of whom about 200 are in the middle school section (grades 4–6). The school opened in 2014 and has a diverse student population from the local area. The school is located in the Ulriksdal district, easily accessible by commuter train and bus. Beautiful natural areas are located near the school.

We are now looking for a teacher in Science and Technology (NO and Teknik) on a 50% basis.

About the position

We are looking for a secondary school teacher with qualifications to teach Science (NO) and Technology. The role involves planning responsibility for teaching and collaboration with the school's other staff. The position includes all aspects of the subjects Science and Technology: from developing ideas and planning the work to creating and evaluating the work. You conduct lessons, pedagogical documentation, and strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where all students feel seen.

Together with other teachers, you are responsible for the pedagogical activities. You will be part of a working group that designs and develops the operations and lays a good foundation for students' development. School development in Solna includes language-developing approaches, digitalization, core values, and adaptation of the learning environment. An important part of the work is to develop the social climate so that all students feel well and thrive in the group.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who

• is a certified teacher
• has qualifications to teach Science subjects and Technology for grades 7–9
• has experience in pedagogical work
• has experience with pedagogical documentation
• has good knowledge of Science subjects and Technology
• has good verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working as a teacher in Science and Technology is considered an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, proactive, and interested in school development. You also actively work on developing pedagogical work in the class in a structured manner. As a teacher with us, you are relationship-building, have a desire to follow students' learning, and are passionate about working with creative forms of expression. Furthermore, you take responsibility for your tasks and are calm, stable, and clear in your communication.
