About Us

Stockholm International Academy (SIA) Häggvik is a comprehensive school located in Häggvik, Sollentuna, with easy access to both nature and good transport links via commuter train and bus. The school opened in 2016 and currently has approximately 370 students from preschool class to grade 9.

We offer modern and well-equipped facilities, including our own sports hall as well as specialized classrooms for crafts, home economics, and natural sciences. Teaching is conducted according to the Swedish curriculum and is taught in Swedish. Our learning environments are characterized by safety, study atmosphere, and high expectations, where every student is given the prerequisites to develop as much as possible.

The Student Health Service plays a central role in our operations and works closely with both students and staff. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers, strong collegial collaboration, and continuously invest in professional development for all employees.

About the Position

We are now looking for an engaged and skilled lower secondary school teacher to join our team for grades 4–6.

During the academic year 2026/2027, the position will primarily involve teaching Swedish as a Second Language and English at the lower secondary level. We are therefore looking for you who have strong didactic competence in language subjects and can create teaching that is both language-developing, structured, and motivating for the students.

Qualification in Swedish as a Second Language is a requirement for the position. We are looking for you who have broad subject qualifications for the lower secondary level, preferably with qualifications in Swedish, Mathematics, and English. If you also have qualifications in Social Science subjects (SO), we consider this particularly meritorious. We value teachers who can contribute broadly to the operations and be a long-term part of our team.

As a teacher here, you work closely with colleagues, the Student Health Service, and guardians to create the best conditions for students' knowledge development and well-being.

Who are you?

  • Certified teacher with qualification to teach at the lower secondary level.
  • Qualified in Swedish as a Second Language.
  • Qualified in English.
  • Desirable: Qualification in one or more Social Science subjects.
  • Work in a language- and knowledge-developing manner in all teaching.
  • Have a good ability to adapt teaching based on students' different needs.
  • Express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Use digital tools as a natural part of teaching.

Employment Conditions

The position is a fixed-term position (vacation coverage) with a start date in August 2026. A probationary period of up to six months applies. The school is covered by a collective agreement through Almega.
