We are now looking for you who want to become our new leisure-time center teacher at Nygårdsskolan!

Nygårdsskolan is a school for grades F-9 with approximately 620 students. Together with Brottkärrsskolan, it forms the South West School Area 8 of the Gothenburg Primary School Administration. We have a nice school with fresh facilities and lovely schoolyards. The school is beautifully located in Billdal near the sea and has its own kitchen that prepares fantastic food. The sea, the ice rink, and Billdal Park are just nearby, and it is easy to get here from central Gothenburg by bike, bus, and car.

Job Responsibilities

You will work at the leisure-time center where you lead and stimulate the students in their learning and personal development in a constructive and inspiring way, based on the students' own prerequisites. You plan, implement, and follow up on the leisure-time activities together with your colleagues in the work team. The position implies that you will be attached to a class and work at the leisure-time center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified leisure-time center teacher. If you have experience working in a leisure-time center, it is an advantage, but we also welcome applications from newly graduated candidates. To ensure that you as a newly graduated candidate get the best possible start in the profession, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. The introduction gives you as a newly graduated candidate a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

To fit the role, we want you to have a good ability to work goal-oriented and to develop the quality of the operations. You contribute with new ideas and perspectives in work-related issues as well as in situations that need to be solved. You take initiative and responsibility for the work moving forward, whether you work alone or together with others.

We would also like you to be a clear and good communicator who gets hearing for thoughts and ideas and can influence decisions in a certain direction. At the same time, you see opportunities and find joy in working together with others to create a leisure-time center operation that is as developmental, inspiring, and challenging as possible. You are curious, initiative-taking, innovative, and want to develop in your work. You have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and your colleagues.

You work with low affectivity and are sensitive to the students' different needs. You give the students security through clear frameworks while inviting influence. You have the ability to set clear boundaries and be a good leader.
