Do you have education in Horse-Assisted Interventions and want to work in our alternative program for students with problematic school absenteeism? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

School Area Southwest 18 includes Nya Varvets School, Hagenskolan, and Långedragsskolan, as well as the alternative activity with Nature- and Horse-based Learning for Learning, located at Långeberga Riding Club. Our school area consists of three F-6 schools, flexible activities, adapted primary school, and an alternative activity for grades 4-9. We have a total of 900 students and 90 staff members. The schools have a comparable student basis and the students achieve good goal fulfillment. All schools have extremely dedicated and competent staff. There is an overarching principal for the school area as well as four deputy principals.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you are offered a varied job where no two days are alike. You are involved in both pedagogical and social contexts regarding the students. The assignment implies that you are low-affective and have a professional approach and attitude.

In the role of a teacher, you are part of a work team with several professions where you have close cooperation regarding the students. Together, you ensure that every student gets the opportunity and motivation to develop into an independent individual based on their prerequisites and needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach in grades 7-9. Horse experience/education in horses is meritorious, especially if you have education in Horse-Assisted Interventions (HAI). Furthermore, we seek you with previous experience of working independently with students with challenging behavior related to problematic school absenteeism.

We are looking for you who are calm and confident in yourself. You see everyone's differences as an asset and are curious to find solutions for difficulties that students may encounter in the learning environment. Collaboration is a prerequisite and a matter of course for you. In your professional role, you are expected to be able to collaborate with other professional groups and with guardians for the student's best interest. This also requires great sensitivity. Furthermore, we seek you who find it easy to adapt yourself and your working methods based on changed prerequisites and new information.
