Ängaboskolan is a grades F-6 school with approximately 345 students distributed across two parallel classes in the primary school, five after-school care units, two units for grades F-1, two units for grades 2-3, and one unit for grades 4-6. The school is located in southern Alingsås, close to both forest and green areas, as well as the beautiful Lake Gerdsken.
We have a large and lovely schoolyard, including an artificial turf field that currently serves as a hub for many activities. Part of the forest is included in the school grounds, offering opportunities for different types of instruction.
The position is a temporary assignment during the academic year 2026/2027.

Job Responsibilities
In the role of music teacher, you work to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to acquire and develop knowledge and values. You take into account students' different needs and provide them with support and stimulation so that they develop as far as possible in the subject.
The position includes planning and preparing teaching so that students are given the opportunity to develop their musical abilities. As a music teacher, you are well grounded in the mission of the comprehensive school and actively participate in pedagogical development work and collegial learning processes.
You will collaborate closely with a colleague who teaches music to older students at Ängaboskolan. Together, you are also responsible for events such as music arrangements for Lucia, the Christmas celebration, and the summer closing ceremony.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach music or have another education that the employer considers equivalent. Previous experience working as a music teacher is meritorious.
You find working with students stimulating and have the ability to see the children from a holistic perspective. You are flexible, creative, structured, and enjoy challenges. You also have good cooperation skills and a positive attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
