The Family Law Group belongs to the Social Services Administration, the first-line social services, and consists of seven social secretaries, an administrator handling all paternity cases, and a unit manager. We collaborate closely with other first-line operations; the Child, Youth and Adult Reception, the Domestic Violence Team, the Prevention Team, the Family Centre, open care for young people, and family therapy.

Your assignment

As a social secretary in the Family Law Group, you will investigate and process custody, residence, and contact issues upon request from the District Court, as well as be responsible for voluntary cooperation meetings with separated parents. You will also process other types of statements and assignments from the District Court, such as contact support cases and name change cases, and investigate consent for adoption. You will investigate specially appointed custodians, draw up agreements between custodians, conduct information meetings, and provide advice and support during the Family Law telephone hours.

The position is a one-year fixed-term contract starting 2026-08-01.

What we are looking for in you

• Social Work degree (Socialsekreterare/Socionom)
• Experience in authority decision-making and specifically investigative work with children and young people
• Knowledge and ability to document correctly and in a legally secure manner
• Previous experience with family law issues is an advantage
• You are structured and plan according to needs

The work involves great variation and change, and you need to be flexible and able to handle higher workloads during certain periods. At our organization, we work on developing operations, and you are expected to take an active part in driving this work towards set goals together with colleagues and management. We have a special focus on developing our preventive and outward-facing work.
