We are looking for you who are an engaged support teacher with a genuine interest and desire to work with individuals within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) in a group home.

You will become part of a team where you together develop the operations towards set goals. You will work with some administrative tasks and directly with users.

We can offer you stimulating and meaningful work, competence development in the form of training via Forum Carpe, Yrkesresan, as well as internal training initiatives. As a support teacher in Täby Municipality, you are part of several networks. Among these networks is the support teacher forum. There, you will meet with support teachers from the entire department to exchange knowledge and experiences, and take on assignments at a department-wide level. In your work, you will also have close collaboration with development leaders who guide and support you in your assignment.

As an employee of Täby Municipality, you receive a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK/year.

Job Responsibilities

You plan, implement, and follow up on users' interventions based on assistance decisions and implementation plans. You support other employees in creating implementation plans, work plans, and documentation. You participate in follow-up meetings with users and have contact with relatives/guardians regarding pedagogical matters.

As a support teacher, you contribute in-depth knowledge about specific functional impairments, laws and regulations, as well as working methods and approaches.

You ensure that interventions from the implementation plan are included in daily planning. You ensure quality by participating in deviation management, risk analyses, and mapping. We also see you as a pedagogical sounding board for colleagues in these areas.

You are an important part of the work to ensure LSS values in everyday and practical work. The goal is to increase the individual's independence, self-determination, co-determination, influence, participation, and integrity. To ensure that the operations increase the chances for greater accessibility and equality for the individual.

Qualifications

For the title of support teacher, post-secondary specialization in the field of disability is required.

• Support teacher education 200 vocational higher education credits or 60 hp within social work
• Alternatively, other suitable education such as teacher, social pedagogue, or special educator.
• Knowledge of IBIC and experience with documentation
• Knowledge and experience working with:

• Low-affect approach
• Clarifying pedagogy
• Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• Experience in pedagogical leadership.
• Experience working with individuals with co-morbidity, particularly mental health issues combined with intellectual disability and autism.

Who are you?

You are flexible, positive, solution-focused, and pedagogical. Furthermore, you have the ability to carry out assignments independently within the framework of the operations. You have very good communication and collaboration skills.

The position requires that you master the Swedish language very well, both in speech and writing. You need to be able to speak, read, document, and understand instructions in Swedish. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Probation period of up to 6 months may be applied.

The position involves day, evening, overnight, and every 3rd weekend work.
