About the position:

The client is a young, active woman who walks independently but does not speak. She understands everything said to her in a good tone and uses pictures, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), and a tablet as communication aids.

As a personal assistant, you will help her with everything from personal care to communication, exercise, as well as various daily routines and activities.

In this role, it is important that you can handle stressful situations, especially when unexpected events occur. You will be her voice in the surroundings and therefore need to be secure, patient, and perceptive.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is active, a competent swimmer, creative, and can contribute new activities
• Is pedagogical in your approach and can be open and authentic
• Is perceptive and attentive to non-verbal communication
• Can work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues
• Has good Swedish skills in speech and writing
• Is a non-smoker
• Does not have allergies to fur-bearing animals – there is a cat in the home
• Experience with PECS, having a driver's license, or speaking Spanish is considered a merit.

The client enjoys the cinema, swimming pool, gymnastics, music, and meeting friends. As an assistant, you will accompany and participate in these activities – therefore, it is important that you share the interest in an active and playful daily life.
