A part-time position with great opportunities for a permanent role between 50–75%

August is 16 years old and lives with his parents in an apartment in central Stockholm. He is a happy, curious, and social boy who loves ball sports, music, and imaginative play. He requires assistance during all his waking hours as he needs support with most things, although he is also capable of doing a great deal on his own.

We are looking for an active person who is good at following and developing August's play and conversations. He talks and asks many questions and needs an active conversation partner. Therefore, fluent Swedish is a strong requirement. He also needs practical help with certain intimate care tasks.

Like for many other teenagers, daily life is a mix of daily chores and the things that add gold to life. For August, this means playing with cars, balls, watching cartoons, and imaginative play. He wants to be outdoors every day regardless of the weather, enjoys visiting museums or playgrounds, and has a positive attitude towards most things. Despite his fundamentally positive attitude, you as an assistant may need to be a calm and secure personality, preferably with experience in low-arousal approaches.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

We would prefer that you have relevant experience or education, but above all, we are looking for the right person. It must fit with the client and the rest of the family. You will receive an introduction on-site, and we would like all our assistants to attend our training courses. It is of great importance to our client and to us at FMF Assistans that the assistants working with us are secure, thoughtful, and positive. Together, we ensure that every day is meaningful and beautiful!

Desirable Experience

• Experience in similar work.
• Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement.
• Experience with low-arousal approaches.

Working Hours/Percentage of Employment

• Employment on an hourly basis, which in the next step can become a permanent schedule between 50–75%.
• Weekends: Full or split shifts day/evening and occasional nights as on-call duty. Working every other weekend is to be expected.
• Weekdays: Afternoon/evening and occasional on-call nights.
• There is also a need for assistants who can take extra shifts when needed, especially during the summer months when August has summer vacation.

About Salary

• We apply wages according to the Fremia Collective Agreement.
