The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, special needs primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

Approximately 1,300 students study at Arlanda Upper Secondary School. We offer 11 upper secondary programs, both university-preparatory and vocational. The school offers one of the few aviation technology programs in Sweden, as well as national and local sports programs in handball, football, floorball, ice hockey, and e-sports.

Arlanda Upper Secondary School also offers introductory programs, adapted for students who lack the eligibility to enter a national program, as well as a special needs upper secondary school, which is a four-year voluntary education for young people with intellectual disabilities.

Our annual evaluations show that students and staff are very happy at our school. Skilled teachers and the school's bright and airy premises are contributing factors to this. And not least the good atmosphere among the students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school counselor, you are part of the school's student health team. The student health team works actively in various forums to promote, prevent, and support students' development and the school as an organization. This means that the student health service always strives, within the team's combined competence, to enable the best possible learning situation for the student. You will also have the counselors from the other two school units as close colleagues at the same workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a social work degree. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a school counselor, as well as knowledge of the journal system Prorenata and work methods such as Student Health Meeting (EHM) and Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP).

You are a structured person who works according to clear processes, organizes and plans your work well, completes what you start, and meets deadlines. You are stable and secure, handle stress constructively, and maintain a good mood even under pressure and setbacks. You stand firm in uncertain situations, dare to speak up, and have the ability to separate facts from personal matters.

We value that you are relationship-building, take initiative in social contexts, find it easy to make new contacts, and collaborate in a flat-hierarchy with a focus on common goals.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
