About the position

We are currently seeking a personal assistant for a wheelchair-bound girl living in Vaxholm. This is a part-time position of approximately 47 hours per month. Your duties will include supporting and training in the use of various communication aids, practicing transfers with assistive devices, personal hygiene, toilet visits, walks, and activities in the local area, assisting during mealtimes, as well as reading to and with our client.

Working hours are scheduled as follows:

• Tuesdays 16:00–21:00
• Thursdays 16:00–21:00

About you

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

Requirements

• Fluent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Non-smoker.
• Calm and pedagogical personality.

Due to the fact that the position may involve working alone, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
