The Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority functions for children, young people, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

About the workplace

Supported living extends across the entire municipality, and we are therefore grouped into four different area groups throughout Huddinge – Vårby/Masmo, Skogås/Trångsund, Flemingsberg/Visättra, and Other Huddinge. The staff operates from their main work area but also covers other areas as needed. Work in the different area groups is done closely to offer users the highest quality support possible. Daily planning is done in consultation between supervisors and employees, offering great opportunities for participation and influence. Interventions run Monday–Sunday, and support can be offered between 07:00–22:00. However, most shifts are currently scheduled within the time span 10:00–20:00. Weekend work occurs.

Our operations are growing rapidly, and we are now looking for three new support assistants who want to join us on this journey and who have the possibility to start working immediately. We are a wonderful and engaged team passionate about providing our users with the absolutely highest quality support.

About the job

Supported living is a practical, pedagogical, and social intervention provided in the individual's own home and carried out together with the user. The purpose is to strengthen the user's ability to manage daily life, increase independence, enable continued residence in their own home, and maintain a functioning daily life connected to the home. The support is adapted individually based on the user's ability and may include motivation, social training, accompaniment, and lighter practical support depending on need. The intervention is based on voluntariness, and the work is done according to the set goals in the implementation plan made together with the user based on a request from the authority. The target group for the intervention is adults covered by one of the person groups in the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), where many of our users have neuropsychiatric disabilities, or are over 65 years old and have a psychiatric disability.

About you

Requirements:

We are looking for you who have a relevant upper secondary education in either care and nursing or with a pedagogical focus. You must have at least one year of experience with the target group of high-functioning autism and/or within social psychiatry. You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing. You have good technical skills in both computer and mobile usage, and good knowledge of social documentation in the work with implementation plans and record keeping.

Meritorious qualifications:

You need to be good at building relationships and have an attentive and compliant approach. You have good pedagogical ability and can work in a motivating way. Since we are the user's support in creating and maintaining various authority contacts, you also need to have good knowledge of society's different support interventions. Previous work within the supported living intervention and with mapping of skills is seen as very meritorious. You have a genuine interest in the area and will contribute with your own ideas to develop our operations.
