The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

Student health permeates the entire school, and our student health team strives to be close to the classrooms and after-school activities. We value a joint approach to collaboration with guardians and families.

In the heart of the school lies our flexible unit, which offers extended opportunities and teaching methods for all students. We are also proud to be responsible for two municipal resource units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to become our new school counselor?

In the role of counselor with us, you will work closely with our students. You will be visible at the school, catch issues early, and work health-promoting and preventive throughout the student's entire school day. When needed, you can adopt a student perspective.

You are part of the school's student health team, where you, together with the team, focus on promoting and preventive measures at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You are responsible for and will build the school's new safety team and lead the work against discrimination and bullying. You bring psychosocial competence as support in the pedagogical work and in the overall planning of the student health team's activities.

When necessary, you contact and collaborate with other actors such as social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and others. You promote the student's and guardian's participation and opportunity to be heard.

You will be responsible for and support other employees in attendance work regarding students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker or have other equivalent education. You have high social competence, can collaborate, and be part of our Student Health Team (EHT). We would like you to have worked as a school counselor previously. You have experience and good knowledge of students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and students in need of special support.

You can plan, organize, follow up, and coordinate your work both independently and together with others. You are interested in development work and stay updated with current research in the field.

The position is part-time with a possible opportunity to increase the hours. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
