Do you want to lead and develop the social services of the future? We are looking for two engaged group leaders for the Child and Reception Unit!
The Child and Reception Unit is now looking for two engaged group leaders:
- A group leader for the reception team with seven employees
- A group leader for the child team (0–12 years) with seven employees

Group Leader for the Reception Team
In the reception team, we work with children and young people aged 0–20 and are the first point of contact with the social services. The team receives reports of concern and applications and is responsible for the initial assessment and contact with children and their families.
Group Leader for the Child Team (0–12 years)
The child team is responsible for investigations and follow-up of children aged 0–12 years according to the Social Services Act and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). Our work is based on the best interests of the child and takes place in close collaboration with the child's network and other important actors.

Your role
As a group leader, you lead an engaged team and contribute to secure case processing and good treatment. You support employees in their daily work, drive development issues, and contribute to creating good conditions for children and families to receive the right support at the right time. You also play an important role in developing collaboration with, for example, schools, preschools, and healthcare, and represent the social services in various external contexts.
You lead and distribute the work for social secretaries and have close cooperation with other group leaders as well as our own outpatient care regarding the handling of IUB (Initial Assessment of Need). As a group leader, you are present in everyday life and drive the case process forward through active follow-up and dialogue. It is important to be updated regarding the transition to the new Social Services Act (SoL) as implementation is ongoing.
Meeting our children and their families in conversations is an important part of the work. Our goal is to provide the residents of Skärholmen with a secure and good treatment in contact with us.
As support in our work, we use BBIC and various methods for assessment and conversations, such as EARL/SAVRY and Signs of Safety. All with the aim of conducting qualitative investigations and assessments. We also actively work to make children more involved in contacts with the social services.
Your competence and experience
A social work degree is required for the position. To succeed in the role of group leader, you need experience in authority exercises and personnel management within child and youth services.
You are service-oriented, calm, attentive, and accommodating in your treatment of others. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help and establish contact with people in a vulnerable situation. You have the ability to drive the work forward both flexibly and independently, as well as in collaboration with your colleagues. You have the ability to prioritize, make correct assessments, and make decisions in different situations. You have a strong interest in continuing to develop and improve working methods within social work together with the team. You need to have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing, document, and compile decision materials. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other
The position includes register control, and applicants must produce an extract from the police's criminal record register before employment takes place.
Continuous selection takes place during the recruitment process. Interviews start in week 30.
