Do you want to contribute to a safe and well-functioning school day? We are now looking for a school assistant for Landsbro School.

Landsbro School is a preschool to grade 6 school located approximately 15 kilometers outside of Vetlanda, with nature at your doorstep and the ice rink right next door – a resource we gladly use in teaching. Around 170 students attend the school, and approximately 23 staff members work here. We see each other as assets and work solution-focused to create safety and good relationships in everyday life.

The position is in grade 6, where you work in close collaboration with the class teachers. You support one or more students in their schoolwork and in the social environment, both inside and outside the classroom. The role involves creating structure, contributing to a good study environment, and helping students feel safe and included during the school day. During school holidays and study leave days, you work at the after-school center.

You are part of the school's joint efforts and work together with teachers, school assistants, and student health services to meet the students' needs. If needed and if you wish, there is an opportunity for support and guidance from a special educator.

We are looking for someone who is secure, sensitive, and has a good approach to people. You have the ability to build relationships and adapt your working style to different situations and needs. You work in a structured manner, can take independent responsibility, and thrive in close collaboration with colleagues. With a calm and solution-focused attitude, you contribute to creating a stable and inclusive environment for the students.

The position is fixed-term for the autumn semester, with the possibility of extension in spring 2027. The workload is 80 percent.

Qualifications

• Trained school assistant or other education that we consider relevant.
• Experience with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) is meritorious.
• Extract from the criminal record.
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
