Emåskolan is located in Bodafors and is a grades 1–3 school with approximately 115 students. Here, we work in a newly renovated and modern environment that provides ample space for play, creativity, and learning.

Our proximity to nature gives us fantastic opportunities to work outdoors – both in teaching and in preschool activities.

We are a university practice school (VFU) and collaborate closely with the teacher education program at Jönköping University. This gives us access to current research and a vibrant exchange of knowledge in our daily work.

About the Position

As a preschool teacher at Emåskolan, you will have an important and developmental role. You will:

• Lead and develop the preschool's pedagogical activities with a focus on quality and student learning.
• Have overall responsibility for the schoolyard activities across the entire school.
• Be an active and driving force in the school's safety team.
• Work closely with school staff to create a holistic view of the student's day.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

The position involves significant personal responsibility and good opportunities to influence the development of the activities.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to create a fun and meaningful leisure time for our students. As a preschool teacher, you will offer a varied and exciting leisure time that truly stems from the students' needs and interests.

Your role involves combining care and pedagogy to support students' development on all levels – physical, intellectual, social, and emotional. You help them grow and prepare them for the future in a democratic and multicultural society. Your duties also include being active and driving in our school's safety team, which is an important resource for our safety work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teacher's degree – specifically as a preschool teacher (lärare i fritidshem).
• Develops trusting relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and other school staff.
• Has a strong commitment to students' development and well-being.
• Is proactive, creative, and structured.
• Has good collaboration skills and thrives in teamwork.
• Wants to develop the activities together with colleagues.

We would prefer if you:

• Have completed supervisor training or are willing to undergo it.
• Are interested in receiving and supervising university practice students (VFU).
