A leading school with safety, learning, and joy as its foundation
Fågelforsskolan F–6, together with Klevshults skola, constitutes Principal Area 5 in Vaggeryd Municipality. As an employee at Fågelforsskolan, you share our core values, where we always put the student at the center and believe that all students are everyone's students. We have a relational approach to students, colleagues, and guardians. Collaboration among colleagues is one of our strengths. At our school, there is no "us and them." We are a "WE" together. Together, we take responsibility for our workplace. We have an open-door policy. We care for each other and create conditions for recovery and well-being.
We work to ensure that every student feels hope for the future, experiences a sense of significance, and has confidence in their own abilities. Our core values are safety, learning, and joy – something we want all students to experience every day.
About the workplace
The school is centrally located in Skillingaryd and has approximately 200 students. We are a multicultural school where differences are seen as an asset and strength. Our operations are permeated by a children's rights perspective, and we always assume that children do the right thing when they can.
As an employee here, you will work closely with educated colleagues, an accessible student health team, and an engaged leadership. We offer supervision, continuous professional development, and significant influence in our development work.
We have focused on internal pedagogical work for several years. Through subject didactic collegiums (ÄDK) and leisure-time didactic collegiums (FDK), we develop teaching based on students' needs and learning. You and your work team meet weekly with the Student Health Team (EHT) and the principal to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment for all students.
The leisure-time team consists of dedicated and competent teachers who put the student at the center. Together, we develop teaching and create meaningful learning environments where care, play, and learning go hand in hand. Leisure-time is divided into two sections, but collaboration happens constantly.
Responsibilities
As a leisure-time teacher, you are responsible, together with colleagues, for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching. You will become part of a tight-knit and engaged work team where we support each other and develop the operations together. Leisure-time teachers have their main workplace on the schoolyard during school hours to create safe and meaningful breaks.
You plan the teaching in the leisure-time center based on students' needs and interests, with clear learning goals as a foundation. Together with colleagues and the student health team, you create a safe, stimulating, and accessible environment where every student has the opportunity to develop and feel included.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach in leisure-time centers. You have good knowledge of the curriculum and a genuine interest in the pedagogical mission of the leisure-time center.
You have clear and secure leadership skills and see relationships as the foundation for learning. You are flexible, creative, and have an easy time collaborating both within the leisure-time center and with the school's other staff.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for you who:
- Have a positive and solution-focused attitude.
- Have a salutogenic and inclusive approach.
- Want to contribute to the joint development of the work team.
- See collegial learning as a natural part of the profession.
- Have the ability to create structure, safety, and joy in students' daily lives.
