Höglandsförbundet is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in the Småland highlands, value collaboration and know that we become stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, utilize resources more effectively, raise quality, and provide better service to residents. Today, we host a number of different operations working for the benefit of the entire High Region.

Within Höglandsförbundet, there is also Höglandets utbildningssamverkan (The High Region Education Collaboration), which currently consists of Höglandsgymnasiet (The High Region Upper Secondary School) with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for future employment or further studies. In the summer of 2026, adult education services will also join, located in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your new job

We are looking for an upper secondary school teacher in Swedish, German, and preferably another subject for Njudungsgymnasiet. As a subject teacher, you play a central role in the students' knowledge development. Your assignment includes teaching, where you plan, conduct, and evaluate lessons. You are also responsible for grading in accordance with current regulatory documents. The role also includes mentorship.

At Njudungsgymnasiet, collaboration and joint planning occur continuously with colleagues in the program team and subject team. You participate in the subject team to further develop subject teaching and in the program team to develop the program.

About you

We are looking for a teacher with qualifications in Swedish and German. It is meritorious if you also have qualifications in another subject. As a teaching teacher with us, you have a great interest in motivating and engaging students. You work to create the best possible conditions for students to reach their goals. You have a good ability to build trust and good relationships in the varied teaching.

Collaboration and joint planning occur continuously with colleagues, work teams, and the entire school, as we strive for a holistic view of students' knowledge development and needs. Meeting each student from a relational perspective and having high, reasonable expectations for each individual are core ideas that are important to us. To thrive in the role of a teacher with us, we want you to have good didactic skills and be able to motivate and engage. Previous experience of teaching at the upper secondary level is meritorious. You should be accustomed to working with ICT, as we work through digital learning platforms such as Haldor and Edlevo.

In your personality, you are solution-focused, cooperative, value quality, and can create a positive atmosphere at work, both as a pedagogue and as a colleague in your subject and program team. You are also secure, stable, and adapt easily to changed circumstances.

Good to know

The position is offered as full-time or part-time depending on your qualifications and preferences.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teacher license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education that is not older than two months.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement, in accordance with the Education Act, that you present an extract from the criminal record for work within schools. You request this extract on the police website.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by presenting a valid passport or a certificate of personal data together with a valid ID document. The certificate of personal data is ordered from the Tax Agency under "My Pages." If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been checked, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
