Your Assignment

As a staff officer with a focus on crisis and preparedness issues, you are part of the department's staff and work with preparedness and total defense planning, both close to the operations at the department level and in collaboration with other caseworkers within the agency.

Your main tasks are to independently and together with others, plan, implement, and follow up on the department's work within crisis and preparedness planning. This means:

• Developing analyses, background materials, coordinating, and following up on the department's work in the area.
• Developing the department's existing plans within crisis, preparedness, and total defense.
• Leading and participating in internal forums, as well as coordinating, leading, and conducting exercises and training initiatives.

You will also participate in the staff's ongoing work, for example in the form of:

• Investigations and acting as a coordinator for various assignments and deliverables.
• Developing decision-making materials for the department's management group.
• Administering preparations and other legal matters.
• Participating in department-internal work such as business plans, budget materials, and annual reports.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic education in the field of crisis and preparedness, law, political science, or other areas that the employer deems relevant.
• Experience with crisis and preparedness issues.
• Experience in staff work, or alternatively, another form of case processing that the employer considers equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Office package.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish.
• Very good stylistic ability.

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience in organizing and leading crisis and preparedness exercises.
• Experience in business development (planning and follow-up).
• Experience working in an agency within the defense sector.
• Knowledge or experience in working with finance, archives and registry, HR, real estate, or IT.
• Experience in compiling, presenting, and communicating complex information both orally and in writing.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

The work requires that you are stress-resistant and can handle several tasks in parallel. You are part of the staff and are expected to contribute to various parts of the staff's deliverables. More Information

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. Before employment, you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in wartime.
