The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. We are now looking for two specialist childcare workers for two of our preschools, Draken and Sörskogen. This is a fixed-term employment lasting from 2026-08-10 to 2027-06-24.

About the job

As a specialist childcare worker in Huddinge Municipality, you translate the preschool curriculum into your daily work with the help of pedagogical documentation. Together with colleagues, you create conditions for children's learning and development by supporting the individual child, challenging norms, and working actively against discrimination. In the work as a childcare worker, care, upbringing, and learning form a whole. You have a positive approach, where the child is always in focus and treats everyone with care, kindness, and respect. You have the ability to see both the individual child's and the group's needs and create together with children and colleagues an environment that promotes the child's development and learning. You treat children and adults based on the preschool's value base.

As a Specialist Childcare Worker, you are to plan and evaluate the work, and actively lead the children's group. You will also follow up on the annual planning together with other staff. Here, you have the opportunity for regular planning and reflection time, as well as competence and development days. We have pedagogical forums and a preschool support team that guides as needed. You need to be secure in your professional role and your mission. We often meet parents in grief who express themselves in different ways. It is important that you can meet this in a professional manner. Good cooperation skills are important as we work closely together throughout the day. You need to understand and value the importance of thinking and reflecting together with your colleagues.

About you

We are looking for you who are trained as a specialist childcare worker with experience. You need to be trained as a Specialist Childcare Worker or have another equivalent education required for the position, such as a childcare worker with at least 1 year of further education in special pedagogy and with at least one year of documented experience of work in preschool. Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement.
