About the position

As a personal assistant, you will support an individual in their daily life, around the clock. The work involves assisting the user after a spinal cord injury and covers both basic care and daily routines.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Assistance with personal hygiene, toilet visits, and dressing
• Transfers to and from bed and wheelchair
• Daily physical exercise and stretching
• Support in everyday activities and routines

Assistive devices such as lifts are available, but some tasks also involve physical strain and manual work.

The position involves varying working hours, including day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekend work. On-call duties may occur. There is a separate assistant room for rest and during night shifts.

About me

I use a wheelchair due to a complete spinal cord injury at level C5–C6, which I have had for 16 years. For the job to work well, it is important that you have a willingness to learn, communicate well, and are open to developing in the role. I appreciate it if you have a genuine interest in understanding my situation and needs.

I am a non-smoker and have no pets.

We are looking for you who

• Speak and understand Swedish and English fluently
• Are responsible and proactive
• Are flexible and willing to learn new routines
• Live in Stockholm or the surrounding area

Employment

Collective agreement applies.

The position is a fixed-term employment on full and/or part-time basis (hourly employment).

Start date is expected as soon as possible.

Before employment, the employer will request that you show an extract from the police criminal record.
