We are now looking for two support assistants to strengthen our team for LSS group homes in Järva, target group 1 and 2, requiring long experience with these groups. The residents in the group home are primarily people with various disabilities, including neuropsychiatric conditions and autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injury, and visual impairment.

Your role
As a support assistant, you are to meet the users' individual needs and support them in all daily life situations. The goal is to support users to increased influence, independence, and security. The work is carried out with respect for the users' right to self-determination and integrity.
The work as a support assistant means that you:
- Are responsible for the resident's implementation plan and daily routines
- Provide individually adapted support to users according to LSS and the implementation plan
- Collaborate with guardians, relatives, social secretaries, legal guardians, day activities, and LSS-Hälsan
- Contribute to the development of pedagogical working methods and approaches within the operation
- Participate in mapping, drawing up action plans, and follow-up of measures
The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a clear and structured way of working, as well as a low-affective and respectful attitude towards users and colleagues.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed upper secondary education within the care and nursing program with a focus on disability, or alternatively the child and leisure program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work. You may also have education as a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other equivalent documented care or pedagogical education
- Knowledge of low-affective interaction
- Experience working within LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments)
- Knowledge of and at least two years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
- Good computer skills
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language as well as good ability to communicate verbally and in writing
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Experience working in the field
- Experience with cognitive aids
- Knowledge of or experience with sign language
- Experience working with people with autism or other neuropsychiatric disabilities
We are looking for someone who is a stable person with empathetic abilities. You have the ability to plan, structure, and prioritize in daily work. As a person, you are careful and professional, respectful and compliant in your attitude and approach, as well as flexible, easy to collaborate with, and have a good ability to listen. We expect you to be able to work pedagogically based on the core principles and intentions of LSS. In your work, you will need to handle difficult situations that require you to meet people with challenging behaviors in a low-affective way.

Other
Probation may be applied. The work is scheduled and includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.
For work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes within Stockholm City, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than six months and is ordered via the Police Authority's website.
