At Drottning Blanka Odenplan, you will become part of the community at a school with approximately 700 students and 60 employees. A school offers many opportunities for both students and staff. We offer 9 different programs with several specializations and profiles, both university-preparatory and vocational and introductory programs. There is ongoing development work regarding the school's programs and profile, and many engaged employees with high competence. School Counselor

In the role of School Counselor, you will be an important part of the school's student health team. As a School Counselor, you will contribute psychosocial competence to increase the conditions for students to reach their goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct student conversations such as support, conflict, and crisis talks, as well as investigative conversations with students, in groups or individually.
• Participate in student meetings and meetings with the student health team.
• Be responsible for coordination in reports to social services and the police, as well as follow-up in these cases.
• Be responsible for your own documentation, including action plans and school social surveys.
• Guide students in groups and individually on issues regarding group dynamics and improving the student's environment.
• Act as support and offer guidance in complex student cases.
• Close collaboration with other employees in the student health team regarding preventive and promoting work.
• Contribute knowledge about society's resources and support systems, as well as contact with these.
• You lead the school's safety work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a social work degree with previous experience in social work with children and young people, preferably within social services. The work as a School Counselor requires the ability to handle multiple perspectives, as the school social work must protect and highlight the importance of structural, organizational, and relational perspectives. It is required that you, as a School Counselor, take independent responsibility for your own professional work and actively collaborate with colleagues.

We offer a permanent position at 100% with a 6-month probationary period, starting 2025-08-03.
