We are currently looking for one or more personal assistants for a young man with a physical disability. As his assistant, you will help him with his daily life and all that entails. The client has muscle weakness and uses a power wheelchair (Permobil). His hearing, speech, and vision are significantly impaired, so you must be fluent in Swedish. The client has no cognitive impairment and is fully capable of independent thought and decision-making.

Duties include assistance with dressing and undressing, mobility support and lifting, help with toileting and showering, as well as cleaning, laundry, participating in activities, and outings. Since these tasks can be physically demanding and require closeness, we prefer applicants aged between 25 and 50, as this is considered most comfortable for the client.

It is important that you have great patience and empathy. You must be attentive to the client's wishes, knowing when to step forward and when to step back. The client's main interests are political debates, current affairs programs, and political YouTubers. Therefore, it is important and a plus if you can engage in these topics. You should be open to trying new activities but also comfortable taking it easy and entertaining yourself during a quiet evening at home.

We are looking for someone who is easy-going, enjoys spontaneous activities, but also appreciates personal time. You need to have good patience and not take it personally if the client becomes frustrated in certain situations.

About the Role:
We are hiring several assistants, both full-time and part-time. Shifts are primarily on weekdays (Monday–Friday), but weekend shifts may occur. The client has 24-hour assistance with standby/waiting periods during the night. On weekdays, the standby time is approx. 22:30–06:30, and on weekends/holidays, it is 23:00–07:30. During these times, standby pay is provided according to the Vårdföretagarnas collective agreement. On-site management is available.
