Sundbyberg Municipality is now looking for an engaged, secure, and professional support assistant for one of our LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) service apartments in Hallonbergen. About the operations
The service apartment is aimed at adults with intellectual disabilities. The operations also involve co-morbidity in the form of mental illness and addiction issues, which places high demands on professionalism, structure, and respectful interaction.
As a support assistant, you work from a pedagogical and coaching approach with the goal of strengthening the individual's independence, participation, and own ability. You are present as support in daily life through guidance, motivation, and an individually adapted working method.
Responsibilities
In the role of support assistant, you will among other things:
- Provide support in daily activities through structure, guidance, and motivation.
- Work with social support and motivational interventions.
- Handle situations related to mental illness and addiction issues in a professional and secure manner.
- Document according to current legislation, guidelines, and routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and external actors such as healthcare.
- Participate actively in the operations' quality and development work.
- Draw up, follow up, and revise risk analyses and action plans.
- Work based on implementation plans and contribute to the individual reaching their individual goals.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have education in care and nursing, social work, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Have experience working in LSS operations, psychiatry, and/or addiction care.
- Have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Have good computer skills and experience with social documentation.
- Are responsible, flexible, and have a professional attitude.
Merits
It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of:
- Co-morbidity.
- Low-arousal approach.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- Clarifying pedagogy.
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
- Risk assessments and preventive work.

Employment type
Permanent full-time position. Probation period may apply.
Start date
According to agreement.
