About the operations:

Kompassen Escorting & Substitute Care: is an operation conducted according to the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We only have needs-based employees, several of whom are relatives employed by the municipality. The operation is aimed at children and adults who need support to participate in social contexts or to relieve parents of children with functional impairments.

Substitute Care: The task involves you working with younger children in their homes or local area. The task aims to relieve the child's parents so that the parents can rest, shop, or spend time with siblings.

Escorting: The task involves you accompanying the customer on daily activities. This could be as support on the bus ride to university or to help the customer pursue their leisure interests.

You may have several different assignments, both as a substitute caregiver and an escort.

The assignments are based on the number of hours per month.

 

Job Description:

As a substitute caregiver, you support a family with children who have functional impairments by creating a safe and stimulating environment. The assignment may involve play, crafts, and activities at home or in the local area, with a focus on giving the child a meaningful and fun time.

For this assignment, we are looking for several substitute caregivers who can alternate on the task. It is a total assignment of 40 hours per month.

We are looking for engaged and active people who together can relieve the family and support a 6-year-old girl in her daily life and leisure time. She is happy, likes music and everything that makes sound, as well as showering and bathing, but not outdoors. You who apply need to have patience, handle monotonous sounds, be responsive and empathetic. You also need to be curious, observant, and active.

Qualifications:

  • Experience from working with people with various functional impairments or from healthcare and social care.
  • Advantageous with pedagogical education within child and functional impairment fields.
  • Knowledge and experience from working with people within the autism spectrum.
  • Knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
