About the Role

Do you want to be part of developing internal control and risk management in a business where structure, regulatory compliance, and operational benefit are central? In this role, you will have a central position in planning, executing, and following up on internal control work, while simultaneously supporting the business in developing processes, risk management, and the control environment.

You will manage the internal control framework and become a key partner to process and control owners. The role spans analysis, follow-up, reporting, and change management, with a particular focus on the implementation of a new GRC system and new ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine operational work with development and have a real impact on how governance and control function in practice.

Responsibilities
  • You identify and analyze risks in business processes and support process owners in assessing new risks and developing the control environment.
  • You plan and conduct tests of key controls and provide advice regarding scope, design, and execution.
  • You analyze, compile, and report results from self-assessments and tests of the effectiveness of controls.
  • You guide process and control owners in handling control deficiencies, observations, and incidents, and follow up on action plans.
  • You drive the implementation of a new GRC system and support the business and employees in the transition to new ways of working.
  • You contribute to the development and documentation of processes, risks, and controls to create a more proactive and high-quality way of working.
Requirements
  • Relevant academic degree in economics, finance, or law.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role, for example, within internal control or audit.
  • Understanding of internal control.
  • Practical experience in designing monitoring plans for controls, working with control design, and evaluating the effectiveness of control execution.
  • Experience in identifying and handling operational risks and risk indicators, as well as developing and following up on action plans.
  • Strong interest in developing and improving the quality of processes.
  • Good communication skills in both speech and writing, as well as ease in collaborating with different parts of the business.
Merits
  • Knowledge of and experience with internal control frameworks such as COSO and SOX.
  • Understanding of IT general controls.
  • Experience in modeling and documenting processes in an EA tool.
  • Experience in driving or participating in projects and system implementations.
