Åkraskolan is centrally located in Sala and is a multicultural F-6 school with after-school activities. It is a newly built school with a lovely schoolyard that we are moving into at the start of the term. With us, you will have a meaningful job where you, together with colleagues, will help develop the operations. Our educators work actively based on a language- and knowledge-developing approach in all subjects. We have a well-functioning collaboration with various competencies such as the student health team, Swedish as a second language teachers, special needs teachers, study guides, and mother tongue teachers. We are working on building a strong team spirit.

We are now looking for a special needs teacher who will work with the intermediate grades.

Responsibilities

The work involves teaching and providing support to students in collaboration with educators, as well as jointly analyzing which interventions best benefit students' development and learning. The assignment also includes mapping students' needs and analysis to ensure that the right support is put in place. Support for students can be in the form of individual support, small groups, or in the classroom. Together with colleagues, you will have overall responsibility for support measures and be an important part of the work to develop teaching based on students' individual needs. The position also involves close collaboration with school management, student health services, teachers, and after-school staff. We would appreciate it if you also contribute with supervision, advice, and support to colleagues regarding adaptations and pedagogical approaches.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a special needs teacher degree. You have a good ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are responsible, structured, and clear in your work, and have a solution- and result-oriented approach. We would appreciate it if you have experience working in an F-6 school. Great importance is attached to your personal suitability.

Terms of Employment

• Permanent position, 100%
• Start date as agreed
• Individual salary setting
• Probation period may apply

A police certificate is required upon offer of employment. This is according to the Act on Register Checks in School, After-School, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
