We are now looking for a teacher qualified to teach Social Studies (SO) for grades 4–9, with a lead teacher assignment starting in autumn 2026 at Entréskolan Västerås. You will have mentorship responsibilities for a group of students and work in close collaboration with other teachers regarding the students' development. As a lead teacher, you will have a specific development assignment aimed at improving and developing the teaching.

Entréskolan is an aesthetic primary school for grades 4–9, specializing in "Active Learning." We work with creative creation based on aesthetic forms of expression in subject-integrated work areas. Entréskolan has locations in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four aesthetic profiles: theater, music, dance, and art.

Entréskolan is characterized by a cross-curricular approach in various work areas. We strive to ensure that every student is involved and active in their learning. We want our students to feel safe, seen, and respected at Entréskolan. As a teacher with us, you are an important part of this work.

We are looking for someone with previous experience working with students in middle and upper secondary school. At Entréskolan, the school year is divided into subject-integrated work areas where teaching is planned together by teachers around a specific group of students. Therefore, it is important that you thrive in a role where collaboration is central. We would appreciate it if you had good IT skills, as a large part of the work is done using digital tools. All students in the class have access to their own computer, which is used at school. As a person, you thrive in a role where you have significant personal responsibility and room to take many initiatives, but where you can also listen and collaborate with others. You are creative and happy to bring new ideas and approaches.

• Is computer literate and has the willingness/experience to work with the computer as a tool in pedagogical work.
• Has a positive view of all students' ability to succeed.
• Has a high level of commitment and is proactive and initiative-taking.
• Has a strong ability to communicate with students and parents in a solution-focused manner.

Education

You hold relevant education and experience. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and the willingness to work with subject integration in creative learning.
