The group homes at Traktorgatan and Ruagatan in Västerås are seeking hourly staff for the summer. These group homes house adults within target group 1.

As a Support Assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, starting from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for the residents to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a Support Assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy working together with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
• Experience working in healthcare and social care.
• Experience working with diabetes.
• Upper secondary education such as Child and Youth Care program, Healthcare and Care program, or post-secondary education such as Support Pedagogue, Social Pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

• Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling.
• Experience working with complex support needs.

Working Hours: Day, evening, weekend, sleeping on-call
Start Date: By agreement, we are positive if you can start soon.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreements of Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
