Within the Social Services Department, the Functional Support division is responsible for providing support and services in accordance with the LSS Act (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons). The LSS Act is a rights-based legislation designed to guarantee people with extensive and permanent disabilities good living conditions, the help they need in daily life, and the ability to influence the support and services they receive.
5 positions available.
We are currently seeking on-call staff who can work flexibly and with short notice within the Functional Support division.
Job Description
As an on-call staff member, you will work at one or more units within the division, covering for absent permanent staff. The role involves providing support and care to users based on individual needs. You should be able to work at least three days a week.
Qualifications
You must be at least 18 years old.
It is an advantage if you are a trained support assistant, meaning you have studied the Care and Nursing Programme with a focus on disabilities, or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on pedagogy or social work. Experience working with people with disabilities is also advantageous.
We are also looking for candidates with no prior experience who plan to train in a healthcare profession.
You must have good spoken and written Swedish skills.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You should be responsible, flexible, and interested in meeting people in their daily lives.
A valid Class B driver's license is required for some positions.
Conditions
The positions are hourly paid fixed-term contracts at varying times to cover our staffing needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and for some positions, nights or on-call sleeping duty. You should be able to arrive at the workplace within one hour of being contacted and must have arranged childcare.
If selected as an on-call staff member, you will be asked to input your availability into our Time Care Pool system for the next five weeks.
To be employed within the division, you must provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). Order the extract for "Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities" from www.polisen.se. The normal processing time at the Police is approximately two weeks.
