ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for our client in Västerås. The position is a temporary hourly role where you work on an as-needed basis, for example, when regular staff are absent.

The working hours are as follows:

• 16:20 - 21:30 weekdays
• 09:00 - 21:30 weekends
• 21:30 - 07:55 weekdays and weekends, with waiting time overnight

Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer if you could start the introduction in early August.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is an 11-year-old boy with autism, ADHD, and an intellectual disability. Our client does not use verbal speech and uses picture support, conversation maps, and a time schedule to facilitate communication and his daily life.

The tasks include the following:

• Help with daily routines such as household chores
• Assist with personal hygiene, oral hygiene, and dressing/undressing

Furthermore, he enjoys crafting and using his iPad. Going for car rides is another favorite activity that also calms and soothes him greatly.

We are looking for you who are passionate about working with people and can analyze the needs of other individuals. You should also be attentive, proactive, solution-focused, and present. We appreciate that you are calm and create a safe environment for our client, as personal suitability is highly valued. We also view it very positively if you have experience with low-arousal approaches and challenging behavior, but most importantly, you must be engaged and responsible.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience within care and support or personal assistance
• Experience with low-arousal approaches and challenging behavior
• Knowledge of Turkish and/or Kurdish, both spoken and written, as these are spoken at home in addition to Swedish

Employment level: Temporary hourly role

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (background check). From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
