Alma Assistans is the dedicated company that creates personal assistance in collaboration with the client. We work closely with the client and know that good relationships are the key to successful assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with our head office in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö.

We are now looking for personal assistants for a round-the-clock assistance assignment. You will work as an hourly substitute during vacancies and other absences. Opportunities for summer contracts are available.

The client is a 60-year-old man with a muscle disease. He needs support and help around the clock, is wheelchair-bound, and is moved with the help of a ceiling hoist.

He primarily needs help with his breathing and breathing aids. He also needs assistance with dressing and undressing, taking medication, hygiene, and showering. Help with shopping, cooking, and preparing meals, as well as cutting up food and assistance with feeding. Help with common household chores such as cleaning and laundry.

You will also accompany the client to hospital and healthcare visits.

The man has an interest in cars/motors, and sometimes acts as a dog sitter for friends and acquaintances, so you should not have allergies or be afraid of dogs. He has a desire to go out more for shorter activities and excursions.

We believe that you, as an applicant, are at least 40 years old and have gained life experience. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and that the collaboration between the work group and the family works well.

You are social and outgoing, and are a person who wants to come up with activities and can motivate for them. But you are also sensitive and empathetic to the client's daily condition and needs.

It is extremely important that you master Swedish in speech and writing, for good communication between client and assistant. And to be able to document important information.

Working Hours

The shifts are:

• Day shift: 07:00–15:00
• Evening shift: 15:00–23:00
• Night shift: 23:00–07:00

You should have a B-driver's license, as the client lives a bit away from the center.
