Job Responsibilities

As an intake social worker, you will be part of our intake team, which currently consists of four social workers and a team leader. We believe that intake work can be combined with providing simplified advisory and support conversations. By intake work, we mean handling reports and applications concerning children, young people, and adults in accordance with the Social Services Act, the Act for Care of Young Persons (LVU), and the Act for Special Care of Persons with Substance Abuse Problems (LVM), as well as collaborating with key partners.

We have digitized our reporting system and work based on the Signs of Safety framework, which has created more time to meet the people we serve. The role also includes marketing and informing the public and collaborating partners about the Social Services' mission and role in various ways.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a degree in Social Work and experience working within the Social Services' individual and family care. You should be familiar with public authority duties and have experience working with individuals in vulnerable situations. Good IT skills and the ability to adopt new digital tools are important for this position. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required, as some tasks involve travel.

As a person, you are structured and have high stress tolerance. You have a natural ability to create a sense of security in meetings with people and can maintain professional balance even in difficult situations. You see collaboration and flexible working as second nature, and you thrive in a role where you are responsible for meeting and assessing individual needs.

In this role, you will have public authority duties involving the assessment, documentation, and communication of decisions, which requires fluent command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
