ABOUT THE POSITION

At Aktiv Assistans, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant at 60–80% or as a temporary substitute for our client in Västerås. We are currently looking for a total of two people for permanent positions and one temporary substitute.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• Weekdays and weekends, with varying times distributed between day and evening shifts.

Start date is by agreement, and we would like you to be able to start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a man in his 20s who lives in a relatively central part of Västerås with his mother and siblings. He loves being outdoors and appreciates outdoor activities regardless of the weather.

The client has a functional variation that means he needs your help as an assistant in his daily life. He can speak but is verbally weak, and therefore uses picture support as an aid in his communication.

Tasks:

• Support with daily routines and household chores

• Help with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing

• Support in communication

• Accompany and support during outdoor activities

The client uses a wheelchair when outdoors.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for you who are passionate about working with people and can analyze the needs of other individuals. Furthermore, you should be responsive, proactive, solution-focused, and engaged. We would like you to be an active person who enjoys being outdoors, as personal suitability is highly valued. For this position, we are primarily looking for men, preferably aged 18–40, to match the client's needs and interests.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Swedish (both spoken and written, considering the communication support)

• Experience with picture support

Employment level: 2 permanent positions at 60–80% and 1 temporary position.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed by us at Aktiv Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the job. You can easily download the personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
