Hello! Are you a person who is flexible, takes responsibility, and is engaged in your tasks? You are calm yet playful and love working with children? We are looking for assistants who want to work with a wonderful boy.

We are currently looking for assistants for a charming 6-year-old boy. The boy lives alternately with his parents in Arboga.

The boy has Bainbridge-Ropers syndrome, intellectual disability, and epilepsy. He has no verbal language but communicates via picture support, speech maps, and signs (TAKK). Experience with any of these is a merit, but not a requirement, as we prioritize personal suitability for the position.

He has a great need for help with his entire daily life. He needs assistance with dressing and undressing, hygiene, communication, and mobility. He needs help during meals and also receives food via a feeding tube. He needs training and play where you, as an assistant, need to be helpful with stimulation.

The shifts are varied as the boy attends a special school. On weekdays, shifts vary between 10:00–21:00, depending on whether it is a school day or a holiday. On weekends, the need is within the time span 10:00–21:00.

You who apply should be engaged, flexible, and responsible, and able to be alert as the boy's condition can worsen quickly. You need to have personal experience with children with disabilities, a driver’s license, and access to a car.

Other: We have a collective agreement and individual salary setting as well as fitness benefits of up to 4,000 SEK/year.

According to the law on register control, anyone working with minors must present an extract from the police's criminal and suspicion register before employment. You order the register extract yourself (according to God Assistans policy, we require the criminal record extract for work in residential homes as it shows more information than LSS) from the police's website.
