We are looking for a Student Health Coach at Vallby School in Kolbäck

Vallby School is a small preschool to grade 3 school located in the heart of Kolbäck. Our current student health coach is going back to studies, and we need reinforcement for the upcoming school year. Approximately 20 educators work at the school with 115 students. We are a cheerful group that has worked together for a long time. We have a functioning structure and good cooperation.

Job Responsibilities

As a Student Health Coach, you will have a flexible assignment. One hour you work on core values in a class, the next you hold cooperation exercises outside during recess. The assignment varies over time, and interventions are decided in consultation with the principal and the Student Health Team (SHT).

You need to enjoy supporting individual students, participating in creating a comprehensible everyday life, while also supporting the teacher in the classroom, resolving conflicts, and being responsible for our equal treatment plan. You are part of our Student Health Team and are a key actor in working with the social aspects and challenges that can arise in a school.

Part of the role involves creating recess activities and supporting the after-school care (fritids) with social aspects in the afternoons.

It is desirable that our Student Health Coach leads our successful "Morning Train" (Morgontåg). This is a security-building measure for some students to ensure a good start to the day.

If you have a social work degree or are a behavioral scientist, a counselor assignment may be included as a smaller part of the role.

Qualifications

• You have relevant education as a trained social pedagogue, social worker, or behavioral scientist.
• You have several years of experience working with children and young people.
• You are passionate about making a difference in the daily lives of individuals, but you do not take work home with you.
• You are a positive, welcoming, and cooperative person.
• You easily establish contact with guardians and other roles within municipal operations.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
