We are now looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant for a woman in her 70s with MS. She lives in Västerås. In the role of assistant, you will make a difference in her life and have the chance to help a person live life on the same terms as others, as far as possible. The position means that you will become an important part of her daily life and contribute to security, development, and quality of life.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various assistive devices, and help with activities. The workplace is in her home and wherever she is. Working hours are scheduled during the nights, both on weekdays and weekends. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness.

As you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for your specific user, it is important to have good work ethics where everyone supports each other. We also expect you to be available during the summer and holiday periods.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would prefer that you, as an applicant, have a flexible and independent way of working and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good skills in documentation and a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and sensitivity for caring for people.

Other qualities that are beneficial in the job include a good mood, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish, as this is a job where good communication is very important. Experience in personal assistance is a significant advantage.

Since we value our customers' safety and security, we have a routine of obtaining extracts from the criminal record register for all persons employed by the company. This means that upon employment, we will request a register extract from you before you start working.
