The Workplace and Responsibilities
The Intake Team consists of 1 team leader, 3 intake secretaries, and 2 social secretaries who follow up on approved interventions within our outpatient care. These roles also involve conducting preliminary assessments and investigations. The Investigation Team consists of 1 team leader and 5 investigators.
The Family Home Team consists of 1 team leader, 7 child follow-up officers, and 6 family home secretaries, two of whom work 50% as placement coordinators.
As a Child Follow-up Officer, you will be the case manager for the child, focusing on the best interests of the child and ensuring that children and parents are involved in the care process. You will conduct investigations, follow up on the child's placement, schooling, and interventions to ensure safety, health, and development, with the goal of reunification. You will review and reassess care, and conduct contact and custody transfer investigations when relevant.
We are supported by 3 administrators who assist with various administrative tasks based on operational needs.
Together with your team, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role and mission. For new employees, we offer a well-structured introduction program.
There is close leadership support from the team leader and unit manager. The team leader leads and distributes daily work and is available for support and guidance. The unit manager is also closely involved in the operations.
We are located at Bergmästaren in Sala, along with large parts of the Individual and Family Care (IFO) department. The outpatient care for the Child and Youth Unit is located just a stone's throw away. The outpatient care is well-developed as it has been and remains a priority area for our politicians, who see benefits in meeting individuals' needs for local solutions whenever possible.

The employer will require a certificate of no criminal record from the Police and proof of Social Work degree before employment. Recruitment is ongoing.
Number of positions:
1 Child Follow-up Officer (permanent, full-time) and 1 temporary position during parental leave (full-time).
1 Social Secretary (full-time) for follow-up of approved interventions within our outpatient care.
Working Hours: Daytime, occasional evening shifts may occur.
Start Date: According to agreement.
