Team Leader, Adult Authority

About the Workplace

The Adult Authority is part of the Adult Unit within the Individual and Family Care, which belongs to the Social and Employment Committee. As an employee at the Adult Authority in Sala, you work with colleagues in a good community and an open working climate with high engagement.

The Adult Authority unit currently has five investigators with authority mandates, two housing coordinators, and a project manager for the "Housing First" project. The Adult Unit also includes seven case workers for financial assistance, one administrator, and two team leaders with a common unit manager. You will work closely with the other team leaders in the Individual and Family Care.

The Adult Authority is part of the Social and Employment Committee, and we work based on a practice-oriented, trust-based leadership style with a coaching approach. As a team leader, the role also involves collaboration with other parts of the municipality and external actors, where you serve as a key link in both strategic and practical work. You also contribute to building holistic solutions around the individual, with the goal of strengthening the prerequisites for self-sufficiency and a sustainable life.

Responsibilities

As a team leader within the Adult Authority, you have overall responsibility for leading, distributing, and following up on the daily work within the team. You coach, supervise, and create conditions for a good working climate and legally secure case handling. In the role, you work closely with the unit manager and colleagues to develop routines and ensure quality in processes. As a team leader here, you are expected to contribute to a holistic thinking where we look beyond the unit's mandate and instead work together across organizational boundaries. You play an important role in promoting collaboration both internally and externally.

You are a key person in our development journey towards a more digital, accessible, and efficient way of working. Here, you will have an important and central role in supporting individuals who come into contact with us. You will lead and inspire your team, create a positive and safe work environment, and simultaneously work to improve our processes and service. You need to contribute to the efficient use of our shared resources.

Qualifications

• Experience of leadership or coordination responsibility within various areas of social services is meritorious.
• Education in leadership.
• Good knowledge of the Social Services Act and relevant legislation.
• Ability to create structure, motivation, and participation in a work group.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Category B driver's license.

Requirements:

• Social work degree or other equivalent education.
• Experience of exercising authority in social services.
• Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Employment Terms

• Full-time 100%.
• Start date as agreed.
• Individual salary setting.
• Probationary period may be used.

The employer will require an extract from the Police Register of Offenses before employment.
