The Organization

Klockarbergsskolan in Skinnskatteberg is beautifully located in the middle of the village, right next to the church with a view over the lake Nedre Vättern. Klockarbergsskolan is the municipality's only comprehensive school and adapted comprehensive school, with approximately 400 students in grades F-9. Within the school grounds, there is an after-school center, sports hall, library, and cultural school. The goal is to create a safe school with a holistic approach and a common value base for parents and children from when they start preschool class until they finish grade 9. The school should be characterized by an open and good working climate where students and teachers thrive together. The municipality's smaller size means that decisions are close at hand and the opportunity to influence the development of the operations is great.

Responsibilities

In the role of a school counselor, you work to ensure that students get the best possible development by creating environments that promote students' learning, development, and health. You support students' development towards the school's goals, initiate preventive measures, and take your own initiatives for direct individual support.

Within guidelines and practice, the school counselor works with a high degree of independence and together with the management, you are driving the implementation of the school's student health work. You are part of the school's Student Health Team and work preventively and health-promoting to support students' development. You cooperate well with colleagues to develop the climate in groups and classes. Based on a holistic view of the individual and with a clear student perspective, you work with processes and issues at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Contacts and cooperation with guardians, Individual and Family units, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and other authorities are also tasks included in the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience working with people and are educated as a school counselor or social worker. We see that you have experience working within student health and are familiar with working health-promoting and preventively.

We see that you are responsible, pedagogical, and have good cooperation skills. You are an engaged person who is good at inspiring and guiding others. You are communicative and have an easy time making contacts and maintaining relationships. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Working Hours/Duration

The position is full-time and permanent, with a start date of 2026-09-01. Before employment, an extract from the criminal record register must be provided.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of personal status together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
