About the Workplace

Financial Assistance in Sala Municipality belongs to the Adult Unit within the Individual and Family Care department, which also includes adult authority functions. The Financial Assistance unit consists of seven social workers, one administrator, one team leader, and one unit manager.

As an employee at Financial Assistance in Sala Municipality, you will work with colleagues in a good community and an open working climate with high engagement. The Financial Assistance unit provides advice, support, and targeted interventions to individuals and families. The goal is to strengthen people's resources and opportunities to live an independent life and enter employment.

Job Responsibilities

At Financial Assistance in Sala, you and your colleagues investigate and assess the right to financial assistance. You also motivate and offer interventions that contribute to the individual becoming self-sufficient. The work involves collaboration with internal actors within social services as well as external actors such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the region, and the Swedish Public Employment Service.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another equivalent higher education degree that the employer considers relevant for the position. It is desirable that you have social law as part of your education. We would appreciate if you have previous experience working with financial assistance and estate administration, but most importantly for us is that you want to contribute to our operations. To handle the assignment, it is important that you can work with authority functions and also support and motivate the individual.

As a person, you are communicative and have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You have a good ability to understand people's different living conditions and can meet people with respect and sensitivity. You plan and structure your work and drive your processes forward. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and secure. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. You also have the ability to maintain focus in stressful situations. You can work independently and in close collaboration with others based on set goals and guidelines.
