Here, you will find a meaningful and varied role where you make a difference every day for students' safety, development, and school attendance. Together with dedicated colleagues, you will become an important part of a school social team that creates the conditions for all students to succeed.

Your responsibilities

As a social pedagogue here, you have a varied daily routine. You collaborate with the work team and school management to create a safe and positive school environment. Together with other staff, you support students who struggle to keep up with schoolwork, and you work on individual-level measures to promote attendance and follow up on absences. You conduct individual student meetings focused on behavioral change and social development. In your role, you act as a bridge between students, school, home, and external resources to enable holistic solutions for students in need. You will also be part of the school social team.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you with a vocational higher education degree (YH) in social pedagogy or at least 30 credits in pedagogy/behavioral science. You are committed to student safety and well-being in school and have the skills to handle computers and other technical aids in daily work.

Experience from school operations and working with students in need of support, such as in cases of social issues, is an advantage.

As a person, you are secure, independent, and flexible, with good collaboration skills and pedagogical insight. You build good relationships and adapt your working methods to the different needs of students.

Additional information

Before you can be employed, you must provide a clean extract from the police criminal record.

During the interview, you must prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a residence certificate together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
