Campus Nynäshamn is in an exciting growth phase. Over the past few years, we have been approved for several new programs by the Swedish University of Applied Sciences and continue to develop our educational offerings in close collaboration with working life. We are now looking for 1–2 Educational Leaders who want to help develop tomorrow's vocational education together with us.

Campus Nynäshamn is one of the largest learning centers in the Stockholm region, offering education in four school forms: adult education, national vocational education, university college (YH), and higher education. Together, we create flexible educational pathways and meet the competence needs of working life throughout life. Here, you have the opportunity to shape both educational programs and future professional roles.

Responsibilities

The role combines pedagogical leadership, business development, and collaboration with working life, making it both varied and developmental.

As an Educational Leader, you are the hub of the education and are responsible for creating good conditions for students, educators, and representatives of working life. You drive the education forward by coordinating, developing, and quality-assuring the operations, as well as building long-term relationships with companies, management groups, and other partners. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to the development of Campus Nynäshamn’s university college and ensure that the education meets the needs of the labor market.

You will become part of an engaged YH team responsible for developing and quality-assuring the university college operations at Campus Nynäshamn. The work is characterized by close collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a common focus on student success and educational quality.

A large part of the work is digital, which requires you to feel confident with digital tools and to lead and coordinate distance education. You will be responsible for one or more educational programs, including newly established YH programs that you will have the opportunity to help develop from the start.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have a good understanding of the educational leadership role within the university college and preferably a few years of experience leading and coordinating YH programs or equivalent.

The role includes budget responsibility, procurement of educators, as well as follow-up and systematic quality work. As an Educational Leader, you work digitally in various systems, such as MYH’s follow-up system, the learning platform It’s Learning, and Office 365.

About the Workplace

The mandate of the Business and Labor Market Administration is to strengthen Nynäshamn Municipality as an attractive place for entrepreneurs. We meet the need for competence by offering education for young and adults at Nynäshamn Gymnasium and Campus Nynäshamn. We also work to increase opportunities for people who are far from the labor market to establish themselves or return to working life.

Campus Nynäshamn is the municipality’s learning center with a consolidated offer of education for adults. Our focus is to be a motor, broker, and meeting place for companies and students. We believe in synergies between all operations, employees, and business life. We have around 55 employees at the entire Campus and 7 employees in the YH team (university college).

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in project management tasks with business life as the target group.
  • Experience in budget work or economic work.
  • Experience working within university college or other vocational education activities.
  • Knowledge of the law and ordinance regarding university college.
  • Good skills in working digitally and with digital programs such as Teams, Zoom, It’s Learning, and the Office suite.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Education in pedagogy or experience working with education.
  • Certified Educational Leader for university college.
  • Experience in starting up, developing, or further developing educational programs, projects, or operations.
  • Relevant work experience and network within business life, civil engineering, industry, or similar sectors.
  • Relevant experience regarding strength-based leadership.
  • Has worked within municipal operations.
