The Authority and Social Welfare department is divided into two units: Adults and Children and Young People, consisting of approximately 25 employees, including four social workers for elderly care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker, you will primarily work with investigation, assessment, decision-making, and follow-up of approved interventions according to the Social Services Act. The interventions mainly concern the elderly in need of elderly care in the form of home help, security alarms, day activities, contact person, short-term stay/respite care, and specialized housing, etc.

The investigative work involves gathering information, compiling, and analyzing individuals' needs to then decide on and follow up approved interventions based on current legislation. You will collaborate closely internally with various functions, as well as externally with other authorities and actors. Environmental scanning is also part of the work to stay updated on case law, news within legislation, etc. In our operations, we actively work with preventive measures, legal security, and quality while valuing good meetings. In our work, we investigate according to "The Individual's Needs at the Center" in the Combine business system. We make framework decisions, which means the operations do not micro-manage the implementation.

The workplace is located in and operates from Gnosjö, and you will join a work group with much experience and joy, receiving an introduction from both colleagues and the unit manager. We have weekly meetings with case guidance among other things. There are good opportunities for further education, and we work systematically with Violence in Close Relationships. Remote work is possible to the extent the operations allow. We have flexible agreements, fitness subsidies, fitness hours, and the possibility of holiday exchange as well as external supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a degree in social work or other equivalent education that the employer finds equivalent. We would like you to have previous experience in authority execution and thereby good knowledge of current legislation. In the work, you need to be receptive, flexible, careful, and enjoy meeting people in different life situations. You need to be able to work independently, structured, and prioritize tasks. You also need to be able to collaborate, and we would like you to contribute to the group's common development. You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing, and you have the ability to adapt the information given based on the individual you meet in your work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
