We are now looking for an engaged and reliable personal assistant for a teenager with an acquired brain injury

A teenager with an acquired brain injury is currently looking for a meaningful summer job as a personal assistant. After the injury, he is in a rehabilitation phase where much of daily life revolves around training, practicing, and gradually regaining lost abilities.

The work involves providing support throughout daily life and contributing to a meaningful, secure, and active existence. Rehabilitation is an important part of daily life, and as an assistant, you play a central role in supporting, motivating, and assisting with training and activities.

About the position

As a personal assistant, you will be a crucial support in the teenager's daily life. Currently, he needs help with the full execution of daily tasks. Therefore, the work involves both personal care and active participation in rehabilitative measures in everyday life.

You will work closely with the family and together with other assistants to create structure, security, and the best possible conditions for development.

Tasks may include:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Support during meals
• Assistance with mobility and transfers
• Accompanying to activities, training, and outings
• Support in communication and social situations
• Participating in and encouraging rehabilitative training and activities
• Contributing to a secure, structured, and developmental daily life

We are looking for someone who:

• Is calm, responsible, and empathetic, with a good sense of humor
• Has patience and the ability to work in a motivating manner in a rehabilitative daily life
• Has good collaboration skills and is receptive
• Is engaged and motivated to work rehabilitatively, preferably with training experience
• Has experience with personal assistance, care, or rehabilitation (preferred)
• Experience in rehabilitative work is highly meritorious and will weigh heavily in the selection process
• Has good Swedish language skills (speaking and understanding)
• Is a non-smoker
• There is a cat in the household

Working hours

Working hours may vary and include days, evenings, nights, and weekends depending on needs.
